Just three weeks to go!

The application deadline has come and gone for submitting quilts to Q@C…it was turned off at midnight July 8th.

There is still room in most of the workshops we are offering, and don’t forget our two for one offer. Sign up for one full day class and take any other free! Or sign a friend up for a class… most of the classes are suitable for beginners, so this might be a great way to introduce a friend to our craft! Check out Cheryl and Tamara’s offerings  and sign up here.

There are so many great Canadian quilters, and it is time we got to know them a bit better! So we invited a small number Canadian quilters across the country to enter quilts at Quilts at the Creek. Their works will be on display in the main building. Be sure to check them out.

Terry Aske: An award-winning art quilter, Terry has been designing and creating quilts since 1998.  Her art quilts have been juried into national and international exhibits, and published in well known magazines.  Terry lives in New Westminster BC, and has contributed two quilts to our show. Here is a brief bio of Terry. Link to her blog.

Colleen Greer: Colleen lives in High Prairie, AB. I saw this quilt in a blog by Ardelle at Quilting from the Heart. She runs a quilt shop in Camrose, and a long-arm quilting business.. check out the close-ups of this quilt.. stunning! Rose City Quilter. I tracked Colleen down, and she agreed to send it to me. Can’t wait to see it live!

Paul Leger: Paul is a former member of Canada’s armed forces He currently lives in Ottawa, and is now a prolific quilter and quilt teacher. Here is a short bio of Paul.. be sure to look for his quilt- he is donating it to Quilts of Valour, and it will be displayed in their area in the park.

Kathy Wylie: Kathy is from Whitby, ON. She is an author, lecturer and teacher best know for her fine applique work. Kathy has won a host of awards for her work .Find her bio here. And link to her blog.
